Ruben represents Axeon Interlocal through our strategic partner, Acclaim Energy. He is an energy industry professional with 28 years of experience. He has advised senior business leaders in the public, commercial and industrial sectors. During his career, he has mastered procurement, risk management, contract negotiations, energy efficiency applications and physical utility applications, and regulatory matters.

Ruben’s energy career includes employment with American Electric Power for 10 years as a Key Account Manager and Demand Side Management Program Manager, Co-authoring the first Standard Offer Program in ERCOT. He also served as Director of Program and Sales for Cavallo Energy Texas, representing the Texas General Land Office over the last four years and prior to that, he spent 13 years with NRG/Reliant Energy in various management and director roles.

Ruben is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers and has received his Certified Energy Manager certification. He holds a B.B.A. from Texas A&I University, as well as an M.B.A and a Post Baccalaureate Certification in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.
